I am Marleen, a thirty something year old illustrator that lives in the Netherlands, Europe.
I’ve always been drawing and started illustrating at a very young age.
Later on I’ve started to work more digital, using Adobe Illustrator and more recently, on my iPad Pro and Procreate.
My work is colourful, bold, feminine and unapologetic. I love making female portraits and highlight certain emotions or character traits.
Since the end of 2021 I am very active in the NFT space. The NFT space gives me the possibility to do art on my own terms, without having to compromise my beliefs with anyone or anything.
Next to that, I love to collect NFT’s and support new artists in their journey.
HOW WE DISCOVERED

Marleen is easily our best friend in this NFT space.
We discovered this artist very very early on, before we’d even announced the details of avril15 and instantly clicked and built a friendship.
The journey of Studio Irida feels as though it has been a parallel journey with our own, being able to watch her growth as an artist and celebrate each others successes has been one of our biggest personal highlights.
We are drawn to artists who celebrate colour, who celebrate other people and who strive to support others around them in any way possible and Marleen is the embodiment of these traits.
Plus, the art is bloody amazing.

upcoming work
I will be continuing building my NFT 1/1 collections: I will be listing on Foundation as well as on Opensea.
Next to that, I’ve planned some collaboration projects with very different yet talented artists. I want to do more for the NFT space in general.
I am working on building a community for artists to meet, give each other advice and make connections.
I will never stop pushing myself and developing my art and contribution to the community in general.
I can’t believe what I’ve achieved last months and I can’t wait for the future.
