I am a digital artist obsessed with artificial structures and urban landscapes. Starting out as a vector artist,  I created mostly psychedelic and trippy images, inspired by movies, music, drugs and hippie culture.

In recent years I’ve become more interested in science fiction and in particular the sinister subgenre cyberpunk.

Much of our world today already shows how dystopian it can really be - which is why I’m so drawn to the dark and sometimes trippy aesthetic of the genre.

I love creating scenery that is industrial and futuristic, but also address melancholy and anxiety - a lot of my urbanscapes deal with my own feelings of isolation while living in an urban, busy area.

Alongside worlds, I plan on creating characters living and breathing in them, ranging from cybernetically enhanced humans to fully artificial androids as this mix will likely make up the society of the future.

how we discovered
dana ulama

The landscapes. The incredible, incredible landscapes.

When we started our project, we often thought about a world that avril15 would inhabit, a living and organic entity that could be the home of our protagonist. We stumbled across Dana and soon realised that we didn’t have to wonder any more.

The cyberpunk aesthetic that is oozing out of every piece that Dana releases is intoxicating. Vaporwave and lofi beats pulsate out of the buildings, matching the melancholy mood in air, the atmosphere hanging like a match about to be lit.

What excites us the most about Dana is that this is clearly an artist who has a whole another level to reach, with ambitions of creating more emotional work that showcases the personality of this remarkable artist.

upcoming work

My priority for the future will be 1/1 NFTs and collabs with other artists.

I am currently focusing on my athmosphere and animation skills, putting more time into my artworks with the goal of including more detail and more cinematic animations to convey the overall mood.

A lot of my work so far has focused on female faces - I’m in the process of losing the stereotypical cyberpunk girl character and go to a more emotional place.

I am exploring solarpunk sceneries that involve a lot of plantlife and water, as well as creating apocolyptic, deserted and  abandoned urban scenes.

My current works in progress  are dealing with topics such as the internet, capitalism, depression and loneliness, and like before it will feature tech, sunsets, glitching screens, rain and neon signs.
