HOUSTONNFT

@D_R_HOUSTON

A mildly stereotypical Scotsman that grew up in a field and drinks too much.

My background is originally in Product Design, but I shifted into 3D as a focus around fifteen years ago. By day I run an architectural visualisation agency, by night and the early hours I transfer that skillset into my art.

My work evolves around capturing unique moments in time. Whether it’s a literal interpretation or a metaphor of some form, it’s about illustrating those moments that you wish you could relive over and over. I tend to bring my architectural background into my work and then integrate fluid and particle simulations to bring the piece to life.

I take a lot of my creative direction from the elements around me, mainly my children. The wild imagination of a child can do wonders for a creative concept. Maybe that’s why I drink so much…

I have a dream to ‘make it’ and buy art.

how we discovered
houstonnft

We don’t remember exactly how we met David but it felt inevitable as he has remarkable taste in both art and communities, often raising others up and contributing to the NFT space in such a positive way.

One of the greatest joy of David’s work is how he manages to cover a wide myriad of subjects, enviroments and ideas.

Sometimes playful and fun but more often than not his work ventures into the surreal often playing with enviroment and light.

Part of what makes David’s work such a joy to look through is just how varied some of it can be, whether it’s looking at the female form, super cars or other wordly space-scapes all deliver get a real sense of David as a person and as a creative.

UPCOMING WORK

My reason for joining the space was to push myself to grow into a more diverse artist and expose myself to other forms of art.

I had no idea that I would meet so many amazing people on my journey and for that I am eternally grateful.

The future for me is developing myself as a better artist. I will expand my knowledge and understanding of capturing moments in time and build these into more elaborate, technical interpretations.

I will also continue to develop my Sakura Collection, which is a series of narrative pieces on my own contract that follows the journey of Sara, a character that has a deep affiliation with Sakura.

All my work is created fully in 3D and as I grow as an artist, I will continue to push the boundaries and advocate for 3D art.
